About Us
Hilary Murray--Director
Hilary began dancing at the age of four. She has been in performing companies since she was eight and as a young adult was a member of Dance Theatre West in Sacramento, CA. She taught dance for six years at Broadway Academy, teaching tap, jazz, ballet, creative movement, and ran the Hot Tots performing company.
In 2003 she opened The Dance Connection in Gold River, CA, where she was owner/director for three years. In 2005 she graduated from Cal State-Sacramento with her BA in Child Development. She then decided to sell her studio and move to Utah, where she began teaching a variety of classes at Progressions Dance Academy for the next four years. During this time she also received her MS in Youth Development.
Most recently, Hilary was running the children's program at CORA, a domestic violence agency in San Mateo, CA.Hilary has three beautiful little girls of her own, and has a passion for working with children and is thrilled to continue sharing her love of dance.
Brooklyn Draper- Instructor
Brooklyn Draper received her Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude in Dance and a minor in Anthropology. She also received a Post-Graduate degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance in London, UK. She has had the honor to perform both in China and the UK and to work with professionals such as Jiamin Huang, Bebe Miller, The Martha Graham Dance Company, Sonia Rafferty, Hagit Yakira, and Gary Lambert.
Along with Co.Da Sugar Space for the Arts she has danced with Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company, Charette with Repertory Dance Theatre, Porridge for Goldilocks and Triptych Figures.
Brooklyn’s choreographic work has been shown through WCDC, Mudson, Artists’ Interrupted, at Beijing Dance Academy and at Bonnie Bird Theater in London, UK, and at the Rose Wagner in SLC for Daughters of Mudson.
